Artist's Comments my contest entry for *MeJony so many nice contests but so little time~ D| I'm terribly sorry about the colors ; ; I ruined her fur ;A; stupid me forgot her box of paints at school =v=; so I only had my set of 12 watercolour pencils and some colored pencils and I tried my bet getting her fur color, but I sucked anyways D8 and I tried to keep her Disney based design. was kind of a challenge. and it was hard to draw a bg with watercolors that doesn't look like a weird realistic thingy.( cartoonish char + realistic bg = waaaay weird  ) coloring cartoonish with watercolors is quiet hard for me since I'm used more to realistic drawings with watercolors  I don't think I'll forget the work on this that soon |D but 'cuz she's laying in the shadow of a tree her weird dark color has a reason 8D; though my scanner failed its part again =v=; it scanned everything so .. strange o.o; I could have done better... with my box of paints ||D about~ It's PearlCat relaxing at some lake in the... Alps? |3 I think she'd prefer a cooler place because the references showed her with snow~ *fails at interpreting characters d'oh* anyways, this scenery was the very first that came into my mind and I liked it.. so I took it 8D stuff used watercolor pencils (it's hard to make the mountains gray with a black pencil |'D), colored pencils and stupid white gel pen that didn't like me this time PearlCat (c) *MeJony art.. if you want to call it like that (c) me |D *note to myself: try to get bigger sets of colored pencils and even if the shop owner says it was watercolor pad doesn't mean the paper likes watercolors |D* |
